Together we promote careers in construction and expand business opportunities.
The Alliance is a consortium of more than 125 open-shop (merit-shop or non-union) building, heavy construction and environmental contractors. We are not affiliated with any other organization. Our firms participate in our NYSDOL & USDOL approved apprenticeship training in the Carpentry, Operating Engineer (heavy equipment), Craft Laborer, Ironworker and Cement Finisher/Mason trades. Our firms comply with New York and New Jersey bid specifications that require contractors to participate in registered apprenticeship training.

Better Solutions With Better Construction Contractors.
“The Alliance has been doing an excellent job of providing quality apprentices. The apprentices we have been assigned are capable and reliable. They learn quickly and are productive and will make fine journeymen upon completion of the program. Penny and her staff are very knowledgeable, accommodating and a joy to work with. We highly recommend the Merit Apprenticeship Alliance, Inc. to any contractor who desires to participate in apprenticeship, decrease labor costs and meet the mandated training provisions in many public works contracts. We plan on continuing our relationship for many years to come.” ~ Tim Szczepanski, Northeast Diversification, Inc..
